May 2018 – On the 25th of this month the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) became effective introducing new requirements for protection of data of European Union citizens.
At CROss Alliance® we are always committed to implementing the highest standards for the protection of sensitive data and today to fully complying with the GDPR when providing services to our EU Clients or processing data of EU patients and healthy volunteers.
In agreement with our targets in terms of data protection, a revised GDPR compliant privacy policy has been released (www.croalliance.com/privacy), and a Data Protection Officer (DPO) has been appointed. The Cross’ DPO, which is an independent figure, will monitor internal compliance, inform, train and advise CROss Alliance® staff on data protection obligations and act as a contact point for data subjects and supervisory authorities.
